Miguel Angel Zotto will be in Trani on Wednesday 12 July in Piazza Duomo with the intense Il Tango , the poignant show in which Zotto will dance with his life partner Daiana Guspero , a dancer esteemed worldwide. With their extraordinary talent they will give life to performances that convey the charm of the alchemy between the two artists, which appears overwhelming even to the eyes of those who are not fans of Argentine dance. The two will dance to the notes of the Sonder Orchestra , an acclaimed Argentine orchestra that will also accompany three other couples of international dancers who will alternate on stage with the masters. Thanks to the unique charm of the natural setting of the cathedral of Trani overlooking the sea , Zotto and Guspero will evoke memories and emotions at the foot of the most famous symbol of the city, emblematic for the two legends of tango of our times. It is the magic of Trani that in fact ties the famous dancer - among the most important in the world - to the legendary Astor Piazzolla in a very close thread, thanks to the artistic direction of the Tango Festival (now in its tenth edition) entrusted to maestro Zotto for some time now. Piazzolla, genius of the bandoneón who revolutionized the style of a musical genre now consolidated in South America, considered the father of modern tango, finds his roots in the city of Trani, from here Astor's grandparents left Puglia to seek their fortune elsewhere.
The revolution brought about by the great musician will be honored during Il Tango by maestro Miguel Angel Zotto who will also perform on the unmistakable notes of some of the Argentine composer's great successes. The history of Piazzolla and Zotto has crossed paths several times, the tango dancer has often said that he personally met the maestro during a Parisian dinner at a mutual friend's house after a show, who was able to receive a sincere blessing from the artist, who proved prophetic in predicting a bright career in the modern tango scene. The bond with Trani will therefore be strengthened a month before the start of the tenth edition of the International Trani Tango which this year will take place from 13 to 16 July.
